Service Beyond the Uniform.

Veteran Civil Recon Foundation is being built to make it easier for veterans to identify and connect with existing community resources.

Why Civil Recon Was Created

Veterans can encounter a wide network of government programs, nonprofits, employers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and other services. Knowing what exists is only part of the challenge. Finding the right resource, making the connection, and following through can also be difficult.

Veteran Civil Recon Foundation was organized to strengthen that connection. Our goal is not to duplicate services already available. We intend to build relationships with credible providers and develop a practical navigation process that helps veterans move from identifying a need to making a useful connection.

Who We Are Today

We are a newly established, veteran-led Oklahoma 501(c)(3) nonprofit in our organizational launch phase. Our board and officers are established, federal tax-exempt recognition has been obtained, and CivilRecon.org is our official domain. We are currently building communications infrastructure, volunteer processes, community relationships, sponsor relationships, and the operating framework for Operation Recon Connect.

Initial Focus

Our initial community-development focus is the Tulsa metropolitan area and surrounding Oklahoma communities. We intend to learn from veterans and partner organizations before expanding programs or geographic reach.
